Stoops May Be On To Something About SEC (Div 1A Winning Percentage Since 2000)

Since 2000 (the new millennium), the Sooners are second in overall winning percentage and have played the most games, mainly because they have played in more championship and national title games. Below is the top ten and you can go to this Stassen link (Cool Site: Stats by Stassen.com) to see the rest of the teams and their rankings.  Interestingly enough, the comments Bob Stoops has made in regards to the SEC Top Six and Bottom Six and how they compare to the Big12 seems to be on-track if you look at this data.  You have to go down to South Carolina at #29 to include their top half (six) of their league and only to #22 to get the top half (five) of the Big12.  Even if you go to the top six of the Big12, you only go to #32, no real disparity, especially statistically.   At a minimum, Stoops make his statements from a lofty perch and with the support of data, not hype and favoritism.  Enjoy!
